Talya Ackerman

Talya Ackerman specializes in travel risk assessment, terrorist group operations, and secure communications, bringing a rigorous academic foundation in security policy to RosettiStarr's risk and intelligence practice. She identifies vulnerabilities in locations of interest and develops targeted risk mitigation strategies for clients operating in complex environments. Prior to RosettiStarr, she worked as a paralegal at a national commercial defense litigation firm and served as a clinical social work intern at the New Jersey Juvenile Justice Commission. Talya holds a B.A. in Psychology with minors in Criminology and Sociology from Rutgers University, and an M.A. in Security Policy Studies with a concentration in Transnational Security from George Washington University, where she also researched online terrorist radicalization and human trafficking as a contributor to the International Affairs Review.

Talya earned her B.A. in Psychology with minors in Criminology and Sociology from Rutgers University. She later graduated from the George Washington University with her M.A. in Security Policy Studies, concentrating in Transnational Security. While in graduate school, Talya was a researcher for the student-run journal, International Affairs Review, where she wrote about online terrorist radicalization and human trafficking.
